Sailing cruise on the Nile between Luxor and Aswan
Travel like a nineteenth-century Oriental traveler on the Nile with a Dahabiya
Day 1: Arrival in Luxor
When you arrive at the airport you will be welcomed by our guide who will help you with the entry formalities.
You then drive to the berth of your Dahabieh.
In the afternoon, visit the imposing temples of Luxor and Karnak.
Overnight on board on the west bank of the Nile opposite the city of Luxor.
Day 2: Excursions - Nile trip
After breakfast, visit the Valley of the Kings with its royal tombs on the West Bank with the historic Thebes, where the famous tomb of the child king Tutankhamun is located.
A visit to the Valley of the Queens is also possible on request.
Afterwards, explore the temple of Queen Hatshepsut laid out in terraces and the gigantic Colossi of Memnon.
After lunch, enjoy the afternoon on the ship's sundeck or visit other sights.
Recommend the beautiful Luxor Museum or the temples of Madinat Habu and the Ramesseum.
Overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3: Esna
Today you sail to Esna, where the ship passes the lock there.
Enjoy the wonderful view of the river landscape and watch the farmers work in the fields.
In the evening the Dahbiya moored on the bank for the night.
Day 4: El Kab (Necheb) Edfu
In the morning the ship hoists the sails for the trip to El Kab.
You explore the residence city of the first of all pharaohs King Narmer on.
A little upstream in Edfu you can visit the impressive and very well-preserved Temple of Horus.
For the night, the ship docks at Fawaza Island, where the chef invites you to an Egyptian barbecue.
Day 5: El Silsila
In the morning you cross to Gebel El Silsila.
From the jetty, take a short walk to the old quarry from the pharaohs era.
The rock temple of King Haremhab and rock steles from the new empire are very interesting.
After visiting el Silsila, continue sailing until just before Kom Ombo, where the ship docks on an island and you spend the night.
Day 6: Komombo
After breakfast, the next day you will visit the famous Kom Ombo double temples.
One is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, one to the falcon god Horus
Day 7: Aswan
In the morning, after a short boat trip across Lake Nasser, visit the well-preserved Philae Temple, which is beautifully located on the island of Agilkia.
The afternoon of the day is at your free disposal.
Visit the Nubian Museum, the unfinished obelisk in a quarry, the Aswan Dam or stroll in the bazaar and buy nice things.
Day 8: Disembarkation and return flight
Today your cruise ends with the transfer to the airport for your return flight.
