7 nights, 8 days, Cairo and Nile cruise

Programs

Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at the airport you will already received from our tour guide who will assist you with immigration formalities.
Then drive through the city to your hotel.
Here you can also called by the guide information on the progress of the trips and the subsequent Nile cruise.


Day 2: Giza Pyramids and Sakkara
In the early morning you will be picked up on your full-day excursion.
Visit Memphis, the former capital of the Old Kingdom of the Pharaohs.
In the necropolis of Saqqara, located slightly south of Cairo visit the Step Pyramid of King Djoser. the first ever built in Egypt from the fourth dynasty and thus oldest pyramid.

The afternoon is dedicated to the famous pyramids of Giza. The last wonders of the ancient preserved.
For thousands of the Sphinx guarding stand here the giant pyramids of kings Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure.
After returning to the hotel you can relax there from the rigors of a wonderful day.


Day 3: Egyptian Museum and the Citadel
In the morning visit first in the Egyptian National Museum, the precious treasures and royal mummies of ancient Egypt.
The grave goods of the boy king Tutankhamun are just fantastic.
The Citadel of Saladin in the 12th century and the Alabaster Mosque called Mohamed Ali Mosque in the afternoon on the program.

Next be enchanted from the Grand Bazaar Khan-El-Khalili, whose colorful range of goods and oriental flair will surely be tempted by many buying.


Day 4: Karnak and Luxor temples
From the airport in Cairo can be reached in the morning quickly and comfortably by plane, the city of Luxor.
Embarkation in the port of Luxor.
After lunch visit around 14.00 pm, the temples of Karnak and Luxor. Since 1976 both temples are under the protection of UNESCO.

Day 5: Thebes West
After breakfast, take a transfer to the West Bank with the historical Thebes. You will visit the Valley of the Kings with its royal tombs.
Then visit the impressive temples of Queen Hatshepsut and on the way back, the Colossi of Memnon. For lunch and freshen up, you return to your ship.
In the afternoon the journey continues through the large lock of Essna where the ship overnight Moors. In the evening you can end on deck.
Dinner is served on board.


Day 6: Edfu and Kom Ombo
During your breakfast you driving your boat to Edfu. Lunch on board. In the afternoon visit the Temple of Edfu, the best preserved temple of ancient history and the falcon god Horus dedicated.
While lunch is served, the ship reaches Kom Ombo.
Here you will look at the famous Temple of Kom Ombo - one dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, one of the falcon god Horus.
While you sleep, the ship reaches the city of Aswan and moors there.


Day 7: Aswan program
In Aswan visiting the dam on Lake Nasser, then the granite quarry where you can see the unfinished obelisk.
With a romantic ride with a typical Egyptian sailing boat, a felucca on the Nile, you end the day and relax in the evening with the amenities on the ship.


Day 8: Disembark
Unfortunately, it now hoisted pack our bags.
After disembarking, drive to the airport in Aswan, where you take your flight home or take a transfer to a subsequent beach holiday by the sea if booked.

  • 0 - 6 years: free of charge (new 80% discount)
  • 6 - 12 years: 50% discount (new 40% discount)

  • If your sightseeing tour includes domestic flights, a child supplement will be required.

Deposit and Payment

  • Here we would like to show you a few things about your trip to Egypt that you should consider when preparing your trip
  • and explain a few things to you about the itinerary and booking through us
  • Important:
  • Please send us an electronic copy of the inside of your passport ( new : after receipt of the first interim invoice) no later than 5 days before departure.
  • Because obtaining a visa in Egypt directly at the airport requires additional time. This means that the entire tour group would otherwise have to wait until the formalities are completed:
  • The Egypt visa for travelers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland is valid for one month and can be purchased for 25 USD upon entry at the airport. You can find the latest information on this in the relevant information from the foreign ministries in your country
  • All prices are in euros per person
  • Surcharge for single travelers
  • The prices are valid until 30/9/2020 (new: until 31.12.2020, as we are still traveling in October)
  • Cut-off dates: Christmas, New Year & Easter
  • Errors excepted
  • Payment terms:
  • An early reservation is recommended for a booking. A deposit by bank transfer of 40% (30%) of the travel price is due within 7 40 days (you should definitely increase this to 40 days !!!).
  • New: for trips with special tours, a deposit of 30% is required for a binding booking 5 months before the travel date. The final invoice for these trips is due four weeks before the start of the trip.
  • For other trips, separate stipulations can be made for the final invoice, at the latest the remaining amount must be paid in cash or by credit card on arrival.
  • After receipt of the deposit, we will send you your travel confirmation with travel description and further details by email.
  • Cancellation policy
  • The trip can be canceled at any time. The receipt of the declaration of withdrawal counts. Only a written cancellation is effective.
  • If you withdraw from the trip or are unable to take it, the following cancellation costs generally apply:
  • From the time of payment of the first interim invoice up to 60 days before departure: 15% of the travel price
  • From the time of booking 50 59 days to 40 30 days prior to departure: 25% of the travel price
  • 29 days to 15 days before departure: 50% of the travel price
  • 14 days to 7 days before departure: 75% of the travel price
  • 7 days to 1 day before departure: 100% of the travel price
  • There is also a 6% bank fee of the refund amount.
  • In connection with the corona crisis, airlines, including EgyptAir, have drastically tightened the cancellation conditions. No money will be refunded in the event of cancellation for flights that have already been bindingly registered and paid for! It is only possible to set an alternative date for booked trips
